The Dragon X2 is a larger-fit goggle, and has a spherical lens. As long as you’re cool with the size, you’ll benefit from the completely unrestricted vision that the combination offers. The extra-wide nose bridge means they’ll fit any face, and they’ll still work with just about any helmet.
Lens-changing is almost inconceivably quick thanks to Dragon’s ‘Swiftlock’ system. It’s simplicity itself: just flight the small plastic levers on the side of the frame, and the lens is released. Reverse the process once the new lens is in, and that’s all she wrote. With a bit of practice you can even master this while wearing thick mitts, which you’ll be thankful for on the colder days. There’s no sacrifice in security either, as your lens won’t budge even after the most colossal stack.
More tough-points come from the venting system, which is made from solid plastic that will perform just as well on the last day of winter as the first. If it gets packed after a tumble, you don’t have to be gentle with it – just brush the snow away and get back to the shred. With such comprehensive venting, fogging isn’t an issue, so you can get unobstructed vision through the fully UV-blocking lens.
